This Klein 5171-PS is a heavy duty canvas bucket with a large snap hook permanently connected to the rope handle along with four large outside pockets to hold your pliers, wrenches, ratcheting cutters, etc.
I like this setup better than having the pockets on the inside as I find it keeps small tool clutter out of the way and allows more useable room in the bucket to carry connectors, dead end grips, eye bolts and other materials. The hard, flat plastic bottom keeps sharp items from poking through and prevents everything inside from just collecting in the middle when the bucket is hanging. I find that it also helps the bucket stand upright and keeps it from getting soaked from wicking up moisture when set down on wet grass or pavement. The bronze swivel snap hook is fixed in place to the center of the rope handle and is large enough to open with gloves on and easily fits over a messenger strand. The leather glove strap inside the bucket is also useful for holding a hammer or other longer tools upright and keep them from falling over in the bucket.
Overall, I think this lineman's bucket is well made and was definitely worth the price.
