Centric 125.34080 Rear Brake Rotor Review

Installation of the rear brake rotors on my BMW 335 sedan went smoothly. They are a perfect fit and I encountered no problems during installation of the rotors or installation of the new brake pads that I also purchased through Amazon. I now have logged nearly 1,000 miles on these rear brake rotors and they perform flawlessly with the EBC RedStuff brake pads. Of course they will also work well with BMW OEM brake pads. I purchased the High Iron version of the Centric rotors so I know this will be the last time I will replace rotors on my BMW for many years.

Turned out the problem was not the original sensor, but a stuck oil control valve, which is not an uncommon problem on the 2007 Sonata v6, for which there is a service bulletin. That valve caused some other parts to require replacement.

However, eliminating this sensor as a cause helped home in on the real cause and convincing the dealer to cover the repair work under my 10 year 100K mile warranty. So, now I have a spare sensor that I will probably never need in case anyone is interested. My highway mpg (1 40 mile test trip) is now as advertised by Hyundai, 30 mpg. However, my city (suburban) mileage is a lousy 13.8 mpg, nowhere near Hyundai's advertised 20 mpg.

I bought one of these after seeing it mounted on a friend's motorcycle. It worked well for me, until I took the phone off during a track day (over 100 mph speeds) and inadvertantly left the power adaptor on the cord, which proceeded to fly off somewhere on the Portland International Raceway track! No way was I able to go back and find it, so I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new mount, just to get an iPhone adaptor that would fit to the special power cord. Upon calling Vega directly, they informed me they don't have replacement parts stocked for these, but the guy did all sorts of searching for options. He found a returned bracket (with an unrelated problem) and proceeded to send me a replacement adaptor, only charging for the shipping! They didn't have to do that. They aren't really set up for such transactions, but they did it anyway. I would buy anything else I might need from this company; they are the type of company with whom I like to deal.

Danaher Tool Group KDS383 Overhead Valve Spring Compressor Review

I used this for a Chevy 350 whith some heavy duty valve springs (1.53" OD, 140 LBS seat pressure) and it worked just great, it also worked on stock 1.25" valve springs. This was on camel hump heads. This will definitely do the job on old V8 engines. I agree with the other poster, it's strange the threads slide through a hole like they do... I'd imagine over the years those threads would get worn out by rubbing against metal like that, but overall, I'm pleased with this and it's heavy duty, seems like it will last. Made in USA!
