Wade 72-37499 In-Channel Wind Deflectors, Smoke Tint, (4-piece set) Review

Honestly, I originally bought a set of these on eBay about 8 years ago because they were cheap and didn't stick to the outside of the window frame. The quality is acceptable, and there are some drawbacks. My biggest complaint is the width of the passenger's side visor, which obscures a significant portion of the side view mirror. I had considered trimming it back, but I was afraid it would weaken the visor, since a considerable portion of the tight fit seem to come from completely covering this area. They are fairly brittle (more on that below).

These do use double sided tape to help hold the visor securely in the window channel, especially the back windows of my F150 SuperCrew, which are, more or less, square at the top. The tape doesn't last long, so eventually, the visors will move a bit when the window is down. So far I haven't lost either of the back ones, though I have closed the window more than once to prevent them flying out at speed.

After about 6 years of use, I lost the front passenger side visor doing about 80MPH. I went back and picked it up. Apparently the machined part that fits the channel had gotten too brittle and cracked at a critical point, then the wind just sucked it out. Now, after about 8 years of use, the diver's side has cracked and you can hear it moving and almost whistling at highway speeds.

One other note; fitting these into the window channel does cause it to deform slightly. When I lost the passenger side visor, there is a noticeable gap where the seal doesn't quite touch the glass at the edge anymore, however, I have never had an issue with this window leaking or whistling.

So I finally started looking for another set. I considered some more expensive side window visors from other vendors, but most were over $100 and/or required tape on the door frame. I wasn't sure if the deformation of the window seals would match another brand, so I finally decided, despite the drawbacks, that these had worked fine and were ultimately a good value. This second set should out last the truck.
