I was originally planning on having someone re-do my headliner and pillars for around $200 but the I found this product and figured for $100 (I purchased two so I could do my pillars and rear deck as well) I'd give it a shot. Very glad I did. The product itself looks great. I was worried for the price it would look like a very cheap fake suede but it is actually a great quality imitation suede. Much more durable than real suede as well. The pre-laminated foam backing makes it easy to wrap the product around complex corners and variations in the surface you are applying it to. As far as skill level required I'd say this is about a 2 out of 5 and most people should be able to do this. The tricky part is getting the parts out of your car so if you are not comfortable doing that I would suggest searching the web to learn how to do it. I have a lot of automotive knowledge but almost zero upholstery skill and this project was a cinch for me. It's all about good prep work and making sure you are applying to a nice clean surface.
