My girlfriend used my account to buy this in spite of my vehement objections, all of which seemed pretty reasonable at the time. We needed to accommodate some weekend guests. I thought an inflatable mattress would be better. Better yet, let the kids sleep on the floor. They're only 22 or so, and they might regard that as an adventure.

Anyway, I didn't think the cot would arrive in time. But it arrived at least as fast as an Amazon Prime product, maybe a bit faster.

Also, I was pretty sure set-up would take too long and be too complicated. And being 64 and all, it's always tempting to plead that I'm too elderly for complex projects (the truth is really that I'm lazy). Well, the darn thing didn't take more than 2 minutes to assemble. It pretty much assembled itself once I unfolded the frame. The hardest part was inserting a couple of crossbars and locking them into place. I think perhaps my girlfriend's son did that himself.

Third, and the clincher, was that the cot couldn't possibly be that comfortable. Unfortunately, everyone who's tried it says the comfort level is just fine. So I know it's good for up to 200 pounds. Past that, I can't say. For what it's worth, I think a sleeping bag or comforter is advisable to cushion the feel of the sidebars.

The cot is also extremely easy to take down and store. It easily slips into its travel bag. Inflatable mattresses aren't anywhere near this easy. And the construction is pretty high quality. If you need a cot for camping, traveling, or at home, this is the one to get.
