The original truck lock I had became rusty and stopped working. This does the same job, and is kinda nicer, it isn't keyed the same as my cab, so if i need to take my truck to a shop or something, the people there don't have access to my truck bed anymore. Peace of mind. I wish the key was a bit bigger however.

Update: The lock is hard to turn in cold weather with the small key, and the lock cylinder has started to not close all the way.
