StopTech 309.13510 Street Performance Front Brake Pad Review

I purchased these pads for a weekend track-day event in my 09' Pontiac G8 GT. The G8 is a very heavy car and I had previously had severe issue with brake fade, which was partially due to brake fluid, but also terrible stock pads.

I swapped these out myself, which was easy if you've ever done brakes previously. Once swapped I changed brake fluid and headed to the track. My first impression was that they actually seemed suitable for every day driving, which I didn't expect. I expected them to be very noisy since they're more aggressive than stock pads--they were not!

On track it was like I had totally different brakes. The pads were unbelievable compared to stock pads! I was hammering them lap after lap and they did not fade at all. I eventually experienced a very small amount of mushy peddle feeling, but that was the brake fluid (again) approaching the boiling point. After a cool down, the pedal firmed back up and I was good to go.

Overall, I'd recommend these pads for every day use or occasional track use. I beat them to death with my heavy car (appox 4000lbs) and they survived exceptionally!
