My first encounter with this ratchet was in Iraq working as a contractor. I used a 3/8" one for 11 months everyday, and it NEVER failed me. As soon as I got back stateside, I was on a hunt for these ratchets. I found this particular model in 2008. I have used it alot and it works so good. The 72 teeth allow for a short swing in tight areas. The patented SuperKrome finish still looks like new. The reverse mechanism is decent, but it sometimes reverses if your handling it around the head. This ratchet is straight up heavy duty, the body is almost 1/2" diameter, and I imagine it would be almost impossible to bend it. Even though it is a fine tooth, I know I have put at least 120 foot pounds of torque on it. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this ratchet. I also have the 1/4" drive flex head and just bought the 10 1/4" 3/8 drive and the 10 1/4" 3/8 drive flex head with bent handle. I have owned/used Craftsman for a long time, and have used Snap-on, Proto, Stanley, Matco, and about every other ratchet, but as far as price, durability, looks and function go, this is the only ratchet I want to buy.
