I have not had a chance to run this product, but I was assured by pertronix (they have great customer service) that it would work with the ignitor 1 module. You can also open your gap to .035 if you want to. The only problem I had was finding a place to mount it due to its size and shape. The heat sink is pretty large given the size of the actual can. I mounted it on the lower tin (type 1 vw) next to the pulley and it is a tight fit but clears the fan belt by an inch or so.
