These would not protect you at all in an accident. The very first day I got a chance to wear these they tore between the thumb and pointer finger. I've been wearing them despite the 1.5 inch tear and they are getting worse looking every day. All of the cloth on the tops of the fingers is getting frayed, and the knuckles look tore up even though they have only ever been on my hand or on my desk. I'd sew them back together but the tear tore.. so the hole is T shaped and not comfortably fixable. The stitching looks worn already on the palms, these things look 5 years old and I've only had them 2 months.

These gloves tie my pre scratched screen protectors as my worse purchase on amazon. (I love amazon still though I've made probably 100+ purchases in the last 2 years).
