Raybestos ATD1083C Advanced Technology Ceramic Disc Brake Pad Set Review

My 2004 2WD F150's rotors were warped ("thump Thump Thump" when braking), so I figured I should swap the brake pads as well. I went with the Raybestos Advanced disks, so these are the correct quality-match for those. After swapping these in (along with the new disks), I noticed a much better braking experience; smoother peddle, better feel, shorter stops and no more thump-thump-thump! I noticed a bit more dust on my rims after a 2k road trip, but it cleaned up easy when I washed the truck, so it's all good.

I soon there after went the same Raybestos Advanced route for my rear disks/pads/parking shoes as well, and they too are working very well.

Received my purchase earlier than expected...nice. Opened the package. No instructions. NONE!!!. What should have taken MAYBE 60 minutes, took 3 HOURS!!! Bungling through various scenarios of installation. Missing hardware. Shoddy construction of pillow and mounting bolts. Had to go to my local home improvement store and buy all new mounting bolts, washers, and nuts to install back rest pillow. What an ordeal!!! I got hoarse spewing obscenities and venting frustrations. I'm fortunate that the neighbors didn't call the police one me shrieking in frustration. Try to save a buck or two, and THIS is what you get...BUYER BEWARE!!!
